Hi everyone! I have quite a few cards to share with you today. I’ve been crafting with the new Santoro Gorjuss range from docrafts over the past few weeks – you may have seen a few of these cards on my docrafts gallery or on the docrafts Facebook page already but I thought it would be nice to have them all on my blog too ^_^
The first two I made just before I went on holiday over Easter – they were quick to make but I am probably most pleased with how these turned out. For the first one I went for a shabby chic look with distressing and inking on the edges of the paper.
I added a die-cut filigree heart to the background and then crochet lace, gems and a couple of hat pins from the Vintage Notes range top right.
I kept the second card quite clean with straight lines and co-ordinating reds and greens.
Love the little apple border!
I spent a lovely week in Devon with my husband and friends the other week and couldn’t resist fitting in a bit of crafting! I made three simple Gorjuss cards with my pared-down craft supplies.
When I got back I also wanted to do a few cards using the stamp set that I didn’t bring away with me. I’ve yet to work on my colouring skills so I tend to leave stamps plain or use heat embossing. For this first card I stamped the Gorjuss girl in black pigment ink on kraft card and dried it with a heat tool (I find that dye ink dries very quickly but pigment ink stays wet until you heat dry it, which is why it’s much better for heat embossing). I heat embossed the frame in gold and then made the card using pastel papers for a bit of a change from the darker papers in the pack.
For this last card I heat embossed the Gorjuss girl stamp in gold and then created a midnight forest type of feel with the Xcut shadowbox woodland dies. I added two punched circles with stars on thread to hang down from the top and then added a stamped sentiment and some twinkly gems.
