Christmas Shakersby projectsparkleDecember 24, 2020 |

I am thrilled to be back with another Sticker Kitten Design Team project, and even more excited that it’s Christmas themed! I absolutely love everything about Christmas, especially Christmas crafting, so when I saw the penguins & presents collection I just had to have it!

These little shakers are 3×4 inches, perfectly sized to pop into a page protector for your December Daily or to use as gift tags, a brilliant solution if you need just a few more to finish your last minute wrapping! Especially since they can be made in just 5 simple steps.

To create these I have used the penguins & presents 6×6 papers, a sheet of printable vellum, laser printer, minc foils, sewing machine, penguins & presents ephemera, and a sequin mix I created. If you don’t have the tools to add foil to the vellum you can just as easily create a beautiful design with plain vellum or tulle as an alternative.

Step one
Print your design onto the vellum using a laser printer, if you wish to add foil later on.
Then cut your 6×6 papers and vellum down to a 3×4 size.

Step two
Add foil to your 3×4 vellum pieces if you are using this method, if not, simply skip this step.

Step three
Match each 3×4 piece of vellum (or alternative) with one piece of your patterned paper.
Stitch the paper and vellum together on 3 sides.

Step four
Add your sequin shaker mix inside and sew the final side closed.

Step five
Decorate!

It really is as simple as that! You can customise the sizes, themes and colours to suit whichever project you wish to use these for, maybe a birthday version to add as a gift tag or a pretty decoration for a happy mail package. I cannot wait to see your variations of these pretty little shakers. Don’t forget to tag myself @projectsparkle and Sticker Kitten so that we can admire your beautiful work!
