Bloom Beautiful just for you card

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing a really quick make with the Bloom Beautiful papers from Craft Consortium.

Bloom Beautiful papers - Just For You Card by StickerKitten

I chose a 5×5″ kraft card blank for the base and added a square of rose vine paper. To get this neat torn effect on the edges I tore the paper along the edge of a metal ruler instead of cutting out with scissors. It gives a distressed/rustic effect and the ruler ensures you have straight lines. I then doodled a messy line border with little hearts at random intervals. Doodling can work well on cards if you want to add a little extra detail without spending too much time.

Next I die cut a circle from white card stock and added it to the card with foam squares. I fussy cut the bird design from one of the papers (it has a nice shiny spot UV finish) and attached it with small foam squares. I stamped a tiny little ‘just for you’ sentiment in the corner to finish. (The sentiment stamp is from the Papermania Home to Nest range. I have had it for years and keep coming back to it!)

Your card looks lovely. I often doodle a couple of lines around cards myself but haven’t added little hearts. Very nice idea.
